Do I need to create a login?

You don’t have to (you can use the email links), but we recommend it. Creating a login allows you to see a history of all completed tasks and documents, giving you a permanent record of your work with us.

What file types can I upload?

Karbon accepts almost anything: PDF, Excel (XLSX), Word (DOCX), and Image files (JPG/PNG).

  • Note: The file size limit is 25MB per file. If you have a massive QuickBooks backup file, please contact us for a separate secure link.

I uploaded the document, why is the task still "Open"?

You likely forgot to check the box! Uploading a file attaches it, but you must manually click the Checkmark Box to tell the system “I am finished with this task.”

Can I see what you are doing?

Yes. The dashboard shows you the status of our internal work as well. You can see if your Corporate Year-End is in “Waiting for Client,” “In Progress,” or “In Review.”

Why did I stop getting email notifications?

You may have adjusted your notification settings. Log in, go to Settings > Notifications, and ensure “Email me when comments are added” is checked.

Which browser works best?

Karbon is optimized for Google Chrome. While it works on Safari and Edge, we recommend Chrome for the fastest performance and fewest glitches when uploading large files.

Can I download files I previously uploaded?

Yes. Open any completed task or checklist in your history. You can click on the file attachment to download a copy for your records.

Is this secure?

Yes. Karbon uses enterprise-grade encryption. It is significantly more secure than sending financial documents via standard email.
