Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about working with an accounting and taxation firm.
AQ

How difficult is it to switch accountants?

It is easier than you think. You don’t need to have an awkward conversation. Once you sign with us, we send a “Professional Courtesy Letter” to your previous accountant to request your historical files. We handle the entire transition.

AQ

How do you bill for your services?

We believe in transparency. For ongoing business clients, we work on a fixed monthly fee basis. This covers your bookkeeping, payroll, tax filings, and ongoing advice. We’d prefer to spend 10 minutes on a call to save us (and you) hours of rework later on.

AQ

Which accounting software do you support?

We are a cloud-first firm. We specialize in QuickBooks Online (QBO) along with their ecosystems of apps (Dext, Plooto, Wagepoint). If you are currently on desktop software, we will manage your migration to the cloud.

Can you help if I am behind on my taxes?

Yes. We offer “Catch-Up” services. We can access your CRA account, identify missing years, and file back-dated returns to stop the penalties and interest from accumulating.

Do I need to meet with you in person?

That is up to you. We serve clients across Ontario remotely via Zoom and our secure portals. However, our Milton office is open if you prefer a face-to-face strategy session.
